Slime Baff is hilariously slimy and disgusting (in a funny way) bath play product.
Parents often find it hard to entice their little darlings into the bath. With Slime Baff you may find the issue is getting them out, not getting them in.
In our testing, kids loved Slime Baff – floating around in slime in your own bath, what could be more fun…they love the feel of it (if you put your hand in it, the slime will literally ooze off!), the garishly green colour and the disgusting play they can imagine.
In reality, it’s actually quite a nice slime – the product comes with a sachet of powder which you add to the water, and after a few minutes the goo should have fully formed. Once your child has finished (beware this may be quite some time later – we don’t recommend you try a quick bath just before bed time!) you simply put the tap on for a while to dilute the slime back down to a manageable consistency to drain away. We tested the product in houses with poor drainage, and found that Slime Baff still drained away fine.
The other thing parents may be happy to know is that in effect Slime Baff is a Chemistry lesson in disguise…because kids see the change from water to goo as some kind of magic, and so there is actually quite a strong educational learning point in this product in terms of explaining how chemical reactions can make profound changes. Moreover, the highly tactile goo encourages children to explore their touch sensitivity.
WHO’S IT FOR: Kids who like funny disgusting things and who want to have fun in the bath should love Slime Baff.
THE TOY VERDICT: Slime Baff is an amazing product – lots of gooey ickey fun and a strong educational learning all tied up in a product which will get even the most unwilling kids into the bath. Highly recommended.
